This is where you can find out about our personal take on life in Cabos. Here you’ll know what’s new, what’s gone, what’s hot and what’s not. So go on! Read on and learn more about what we love and what makes us tick about life in Cabo.
First the basics:
THE LAY OF THE LAND AND A FEW INTERESTING TIDBITS
Most people know that the area known as Los Cabos is at the southernmost tip of the 1,000 mile long Baja peninsula and that Los Cabos has two main centers; Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, connected by a 20-mile oceanfront Tourist Corridor. But did, you know that on the East Cape, northeast of San José del Cabo, the Sea of Cortez’s pristine waters house the most important living reef in the Northern Hemisphere right at Cabo Pulmo? or that last year the town of Todos Santos, northwest of Cabo San Lucas, was declared a Pueblo Magico (Magic Town) for its cultural and architectural value?

Sn José del Cabo is the more tranquil town in Cabos
Another widely known fact is that San Jose is the more typical, quieter town and San Lucas is all about the marina, fishing, nightlife and party. On the other hand, few people know that both towns have organic markets that run from November to May/June and that sometimes the smaller market in San Lucas – by Colegio Camino on Wednesdays and Saturdays – has a better selection of fresh organic produce than the larger one in San Jose – at Huerta Santa Maria on Saturdays – where you can mingle with the ‘earthy’ and ‘organic’ crowd from San Jose.

Fresh organic produce is available at the farmers markets in Can Lucas and San José

Hi- I am looking to come to Cabo for next February school vacation with my husband, daughter and another family with one child. Both children are 11. We have been looking around and want to do an all inclusive. We have narrowed it down to Dreams, the Westin or the Sheraton. Can you tell me what you think of these three choices and where you would stay?
Thank you !!!!
All three properties are beautiful. You will want to be very careful swimming in the ocean at any of the three. The Westin is a grand property, although it feels a bit dated by now. It is the one that is closest to San Jose of the three. We have no reports of whether the all-inclusive option is available for that property. We think that the all-inclusive option at Dreams is the best as far as the quality of the meals and drinks go. The resort is extremely well-appointed and we love the bathroom amenities there. Sheraton has the most spacious rooms of all three resorts and the most Mexican flavor in the decor and layout of the property and it is the one that is closest to San Lucas of the three. We also don’t know much about an all-inclusive option there… Let us ask around and we’ll let you know. If you asked us right now where would we stay of theses three resorts, considering that you want an all-inclusive option, we would have to say; at Dreams.
Thank you so much for your information. i think we have decided to stay at Dreams- i am glad to hear you say that the meals are decent there. i am apprehensive of an all inclusive, but it is the best way to go with traveling with another family. Can you give us any recommendations for fishing charters?
